We are excited to have George & Molly as Ackerman therapy dogs! They are both popular with our students. Whether visiting classrooms, comforting students, or just hanging out waiting for pets, they are very busy All-Stars!
George is Mr. Hanlon’s dog and a beloved member of the Ackerman community. He turned 9 in March and has been a certified therapy dog since January 2020. George is at school a few days each week, bringing calm, comfort, and a few tail wags to students and staff alike. In his free time, George enjoys rawhide bones, neighborhood walks, and chasing bunnies. He recently gained a new cat sister named Penny, and he's having fun getting to know her—one cautious sniff at a time.
Molly is Mrs. Sellers' dog and is also here a few days each week. She is a rescued 6 year old Labrador Retriever, Mini Australian Shepard mix. She has 2 other fur siblings at home that she loves to play with. Molly has been a therapy dog since December 2023. She loves to snuggle, eat tomatoes from the garden, or play outside with her sister!
